Many things can be said about the “El Camino” in Spain, which translates to The Way in English. There are several routes or trails, that leads to Santiago de Compostela. The most known is Camino Francés (the French way), which is an old pilgrim route. It’s stretches from Saint Jean Pied de Port (SJPDP) in France, to Santiago de Compostela. Its almost 800 km long and takes approximately 33 days to walk.

Throughout centuries pilgrims have undertaken this itinerary, making permanent landmarks in history as well as in the landscape of northern Spain.

I’m not going into details here; there is so many more and better resources for the El Camino. This is just a overview and an introduction.
